This is the first vintage of Riesling by Mt. Hood Winery. The grapes are from the Columbia Valley in Washington.  Mt. Hood planted Riesling in 2007 but production is still a year away. The Riesling has nice fruit flavor with moderate sweetness.  2.4 % R.S.

Mt Hood Winery's 2007 Chardonnay

The Chardonnay was aged a few months in Hungarian oak barrels to give structure to this bright, fruit-forward Chardonnay. The grapes are grown in White Salmon at Celilo Vineyards, carefully managed to bring out the best in the fruit.  It’s a bargain if you’re looking for a crisp, genuine Chardonnay.

This is our third Pinot Noir vintage and is aging beautifully in the bottle.  Raspberry and cherry flavors greet your palate, while oak barrel aging gives the wine structure.  This is a robust Pinot Noir, which can be served with heartier dishes. Lovely to drink now, it is worth cellaring for the next five to ten years.

Pinot Noir Sangee, Desert wine

Mt Hood Winery's 2007 Pinot Noir Saigneé

This wine is a by -product of producing Pinot Noir. A little juice is removed from the fermentation vat before the grape skins have given the wine much color. This wine is then fermented in stainless steel barrels as a white wine. The berry flavors come through strongly without any oak influence. 1%R.S.

Mt Hood Winery's 2005 Merlot

This well balanced Merlot is a feast of blackberry, currant and black pepper notes. The oak barrel aging gives the wine plenty of structure.
